Today at 12:11 am, was my 3 year 5 month and 7th day anniversary. Here's to another 3 years 5 months and 7 days.
On another note my thoughts on the
recent article of Top Gear being brought to the USA, bad idea....maybe. Now Top Gear has been shown here in America on the Discovery Channel, but it was an extremely edited version where they cut out the news and the star in a reasonably priced car segments. Since the star in a reasonably priced car was usually some celebrity only people of the UK would recognize that seemed ok with me. But the news segment is where some of the great "cocking about" happens and is usually the funniest part of the show. They also said they would be stressing American cars. Why, I've always felt they've had a good mix of cars on the show from all over the world. They are certainly biased towards British cars but I can't blame them for that. And I think there is a good reason why they don't need to stress American cars, I don't car about the new Ford Explorer, I don't care how fast it'll go around a track, its a SUV, its meant to get soccer moms with kids from home to soccer. The American cars they already cover are the cars I care about, the Ford Gt, the Dodge Viper, the Chevy Corvette, etc. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love to be able to watch Top Gear on my tv, but it has to be done right. So my word of warning to Andy Wilman, don't fuck this up.
