ok. Well, if they're touring tires as in "T" rated, I would recommend considering a wonderful set of H or higher rated tires, since you swap them out every winter anyway. Maybe next summer while taking off the snow tires...
Jack stands? What could possibly happen, it's not like the car could slip, and the open door would land on the jack, putting a large dent in the bottom of the door

It would certainly appear the left one came off the drive axle. What are those rated at? They look very much like all-seasons or touring.
Oh, and two words... Jack stands. You need them BADLY!
