A Quantitave Analysis of Ones Ability to Wrap Christmas Presents

The image above is showing a direct correlation to what level of skills it requires to properly wrap a present. If you'll notice the "magic number" is 6. Anything less than this number and you fail! Anything more than this and, well, I don't want to talk to you, you pompous present wrapping demi-god / asshole. So for example, I myself might only be a 1 in wrapping, but I am a 5 in taping, so therefore I reach the magical number of 6 and can properly wrap a gift. So how good are you?

Employment

For all that don't know, I have been employed now for 1 week, so my unemployment didn't last too long. In other news, tv is going to suck after the new year. Lets see, we're going to get new episodes of Lost at the end of January....thats pretty much it until April when we see the return of Battlestar Galactica. But even still neither of these shows has all there episodes completed, so unless this WGA strike gets resolved we're going to be in a huge hurt.

March Madness? BCS Madness!

Ah yes, another year and another BCS controversy. Lets break this down, we have 11-1 Ohio State vs 11-2 LSU for the National Championship, this will probably be a good game, but I still have to ask. Why LSU and why Ohio State? Last I checked USC was 10-2, and won there game on Saturday just like LSU did, so why no love for USC? Georgia also 10-2, but they didn't win there conference so I can understand them not being considered. Now this might come as a surprise but what about the only undefeated team in the country, Hawaii (12-0). I know what you're thinking, Hawaii is part of the WAC conference where they basically play high school football teams every week so no wonder they won all there games. Now I completely agree with you.....in 2006, but what Boise State did last year in the Fiesta Bowl proved that even the non-BCS teams can hang with the big dogs. So why no love for Hawaii? I'm not saying that a playoff system would be better, I'm not saying that the current system isn't flawed, but there must be a happy medium that can be found. Either that or we need to have 2 BCS teams go undefeated every year and have them play for the title. Either way it was an exciting college football season with lots of upsets (Michigan vs Appalachian State, USC vs Standford, etc.) and I for one am looking forward to the college football bowl season.
